Our menus will change depending on season and availabilty of produce. However you could expect a typical day's eating to be something like this. Please assume that most things are homemade, within reason - i.e. we don't make the gin!
Breakfast: Muesli, porrige, bread, toasts, local jams and marmalades, fresh fruit, fruit juice, teas and coffee.
Midmorning: Coffee/tea/mate, fruit, biscuits
Lunch: Soup, quiches, salads, sandwiches, fruit, beer, wine, juice
Afternoon: Tea/coffee/mate, biscuits, cake
Evening drinks with nibbles
Dinner: Chicken cooked with prunes and wine, fresh vegetables, pear and almond tart with ice cream, wine, coffee and mints
Most meals will be eaten together on the sun terrace. One evening you can expect a typical Argentine asado, perhaps with some beef from the neighbouring finca. On another evening there will be the opportunity to attend an informal tasting of local wines with Robbie, who is a partner in a company exporting Argentine wines to the UK. ( www.pampaswines.com) If there is sufficient interest then we can arrange a visit to some of the local bodegas.
On one of our painting trips we hope to offer you a lunch of chevito al horno de barro - goat cooked in a clay oven - delicious!
